Our Privacy Commitment

A mileage log knows where you drive. That is exactly why Körlogg keeps it on your phone and nowhere else.

Körlogg is a körjournal (mileage log) app for drivers in Sweden, developed by an independent sole proprietor based in Sweden. We run no server, we never sell your data, we show no advertising, and your trips never leave your device unless you export them yourself.

Location Data

Körlogg asks for location access in order to detect when you drive and to measure each trip. This is what happens with it:

• Automatic detection ("Always" access): between trips the app only listens for significant movement and motion activity, which uses very little battery. When the phone appears to be in a moving car, the app records GPS positions until the car has been still for about three minutes. iOS shows the location indicator while this happens.
• Manual logging ("While Using" access): if you prefer, you can start and stop recording yourself, or type trips in by hand with no location access at all.
• Motion & Fitness: used only to recognise "in a vehicle" so that GPS can stay off the rest of the time.
• Addresses are looked up on the device using Apple's geocoder. The route points of a trip are kept for 30 days so a merged trip can be split, then reduced to the start and end point.
• Nothing is uploaded. There is no Körlogg server. Your employer, or anyone else, cannot watch you through this app; they only ever see a report you choose to send them.

You can turn automatic logging off in More at any time, or revoke location access in iOS Settings.

On Android

Körlogg for Android works the same way, with Android's own building blocks:

• Location "Allow all the time" lets a trip start by itself while the app is closed. GPS runs only during a trip, inside a foreground service, and Android shows a notification ("Trip in progress") for as long as it runs. With "Only while using the app" you start trips yourself.
• Physical activity (Google Play services activity recognition) is used only to notice that you got into a vehicle, so GPS can stay off the rest of the time.
• A small geofence around where the car was last parked, kept by Google Play services on the phone, is a second way to notice a trip starting.
• Addresses are looked up with Android's built-in geocoder, provided on the device by Google Play services.
• Trips are stored in the app's private database on the phone. Nothing is uploaded; there is still no Körlogg server.
• Purchases go through Google Play Billing; Google handles the payment and RevenueCat validates it exactly as described below.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Stored only on your device (SwiftData and UserDefaults) and not transmitted to us or to any server we control:

• Trips: dates, times, start and end positions and addresses, distance, odometer readings, purpose, visited places or people, driver name, notes, business/private classification
• Vehicles: name, registration number, type, yearly odometer readings
• Saved places and routes you create
• Settings: language, default classifications, reimbursement rates, Pro status

A future version may offer iCloud sync through your own iCloud account; if it does, this page will say so before it ships.

Exports

PDF and CSV reports are generated on the device. Where you send them (email, Files, your employer's system) is your choice, and that recipient's privacy terms apply.

Purchases

Körlogg offers an optional Pro upgrade through Apple's In-App Purchase system on iPhone or Google Play Billing on Android, as a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. To manage purchases and restore them across your devices we use RevenueCat, a purchase-management service acting as our data processor.

• The actual payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see or receive your card number, bank details or billing address.
• RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app user ID, your purchase/receipt information and basic device/app data in order to validate the purchase and unlock Pro. This identifier is not your name and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.
• We use this information only to grant and restore your Pro access.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No accounts, no email, no passwords, no third-party login.
• No advertising or ad identifiers (IDFA). We display no ads.
• No third-party analytics, tracking or profiling SDKs.
• No camera, microphone, photos or contacts access.
• No location data ever reaches us. We could not sell it if we wanted to; we do not have it.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

The only third parties involved are Apple on iPhone and Google on Android (app distribution, payment processing and on-device geocoding and activity recognition, subject to their privacy policies) and RevenueCat (purchase validation and restoration, as described above). No data brokers, no advertising networks, no social-media trackers.

Your Rights

As a Sweden/EU-based developer we follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for everyone who uses the app, wherever they are. Because your data lives on your device, you are in direct control of it:

• Access & portability: every trip is visible in the app and exportable as PDF or CSV
• Rectification: edit any trip, vehicle or setting at any time
• Erasure: delete individual trips, or all local data by deleting the app; purchase data held by our processor can be deleted on request — see Request data deletion
• Objection/restriction: you can use the app without automatic tracking and without making any purchase

To exercise any right, contact us (below). EU/EEA residents may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority such as the Swedish Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).

Children's Privacy

Körlogg is intended for licensed drivers (18 or older) and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to This Policy

If the app ever starts to collect or process data differently, this page will be updated and the date at the top changed. Material changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
