Welcome to Rijklaar, a Dutch driving-theory practice app for the CBR car theory exam (theorie-examen auto, rijbewijs B), developed by an independent sole proprietor based in Sweden. By downloading, installing or using Rijklaar ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These Terms are a legal agreement between you ("you") and Amir Alagic, trading as Rijklaar ("we", "us", "our").
Rijklaar provides a practice question bank for the Dutch CBR car theory exam (theorie-examen auto, rijbewijs B) across categories such as road signs, right of way, speed and distance, vehicle knowledge, the human factor, environment, alcohol and licence rules, and motorway/rural roads; mock exams in the format of the CBR exam; progress tracking and statistics; and an interface in Dutch and English.
Important — not an official test: Rijklaar is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the CBR (Centraal Bureau Rijvaardigheidsbewijzen) or any Dutch authority, and it does not issue or guarantee any licence or test result.
The App is for practice and educational purposes only. While we work hard to keep questions accurate and aligned with current Dutch traffic rules (RVV 1990 and the Wegenverkeerswet 1994), we do not guarantee that you will pass the official theory exam, that every question matches the exact wording or content of the official exam, or that all content is complete, error-free or fully up to date with the latest regulations. Always rely on official CBR materials and current Dutch law for authoritative information. Use of the App is at your own discretion.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms.
The App offers an optional Premium unlock via Apple In-App Purchase. Free features are available without payment; Premium unlocks the full question bank and unlimited mock exams as described on the in-app purchase screen.
All payments are processed by Apple, charged to your Apple ID. Prices are shown in the App before purchase. A one-time purchase grants the access described at the time of purchase and is not a subscription.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policy; request them through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com), not from us. As a consumer in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU you may have a statutory right of withdrawal (herroepingsrecht). By starting to use purchased digital content immediately, you may consent to begin before the withdrawal period ends, which can affect that right, as permitted by consumer law. Your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
All content in the App — the question bank, explanations, interface design and software — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by Swedish, Dutch and international intellectual-property law. Official Dutch road-sign artwork (RVV 1990, Bijlage 1) is used in its standardised public-domain form for educational purposes. Your locally stored progress data remains yours.
The App is distributed via Apple's App Store and your use is also subject to Apple's terms and Usage Rules. Where those conflict with these Terms on App Store matters, Apple's terms prevail. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support for the App.
Our Privacy Policy explains how the App handles data — local-first storage on your device and purchase processing via Apple and RevenueCat. By using the App you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App or Premium. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any test result, licence outcome, or driving decision based on the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law.
These Terms are governed by Swedish law and applicable EU regulations, including consumer-protection rules and the GDPR. Consumers in the Netherlands keep all mandatory rights under Dutch consumer law (Burgerlijk Wetboek, Boek 6 and Boek 7). Please contact us first to resolve any issue; consumers may also contact ConsuWijzer (the consumer desk of the Autoriteit Consument & Markt) or the European Consumer Centre (ECC) in their country. Swedish courts have jurisdiction subject to mandatory consumer rules.
We may update these Terms; we will update the "Last Updated" date and give in-app notice of material changes. Continued use means acceptance. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access for serious or repeated breach of these Terms. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder stays in effect.
Rijklaar is een onafhankelijk oefenhulpmiddel voor het CBR theorie-examen auto (rijbewijs B) en is niet verbonden aan of goedgekeurd door het CBR. We garanderen niet dat je slaagt voor het examen, en de inhoud kan fouten bevatten – gebruik altijd officieel materiaal als maatstaf. Premium is een eenmalige aankoop via Apple; een terugbetaling vraag je aan bij Apple. Je mag de vragen niet kopiëren of doorverkopen.
