Welcome to CDL Ready, a study app for the US commercial driver's license (CDL) knowledge tests, developed by an independent sole proprietor based in Sweden. By downloading, installing or using CDL Ready ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These Terms are a legal agreement between you ("you") and Amir Alagic, trading as CDL Ready ("we", "us", "our").
CDL Ready provides practice questions with explanations for the General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Combination Vehicles tests and the Hazardous Materials, Tank Vehicles, Doubles/Triples, Passenger and School Bus endorsement tests; study guides; mock exams; flashcards for the pre-trip inspection; a reference library; progress tracking; and an interface in English and Spanish.
Important — not an official test, not a training provider: CDL Ready is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), any state driver licensing agency, or AAMVA. It is not an Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) provider and completing the App does not satisfy any ELDT or licensing requirement. The questions in the App are written from the federal regulations and the topics of the CDL manual; they are not the actual questions used by any state.
The App is for practice and educational purposes only. While we work to keep the content accurate and aligned with current federal rules (49 CFR) and the CDL manual, we do not guarantee that you will pass any official test, that every question matches the wording or content of an official test, or that all content is complete, error-free or fully up to date. State rules, fees and test formats change; always rely on your state's licensing agency and current law for authoritative information. Use of the App is at your own discretion.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms.
The App offers an optional Premium unlock via Apple In-App Purchase, either as a one-time lifetime purchase or as an auto-renewing monthly subscription. Free features are available without payment; Premium unlocks the full question bank, unlimited mock exams, Exam Day and the review sessions described on the in-app purchase screen.
All payments are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple ID. Prices are shown in the App before purchase. The lifetime purchase is not a subscription. The monthly subscription renews automatically each month at the price shown unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policy; request them through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com), not from us. Your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
All content in the App — the question bank, explanations, study guides, flashcards, interface design and software — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by Swedish, US and international intellectual-property law. Hazardous-materials placard designs are US government works reproduced in their standardized public-domain form for educational purposes. Your locally stored progress data remains yours.
The App is distributed via Apple's App Store and your use is also subject to Apple's terms and Usage Rules. Where those conflict with these Terms on App Store matters, Apple's terms prevail. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support for the App.
Our Privacy Policy explains how the App handles data — local-first storage on your device and purchase processing via Apple and RevenueCat. By using the App you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App or Premium in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any test result, licensing outcome, or driving decision based on the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country or state where you live. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Sweden unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the App or the law. We will update the "Last Updated" date and, for significant changes, provide notice within the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
